AISHINKA: Bulgarian Voices Berlin presenting a new album
BVB are thrilled to invite you to a concert celebrating the launch of our fourth album, Aishinka.
On Saturday 4th March 2023 at 4:00pm, we will be performing a selection of music from the album, plus special extras, live in Trinitatiskirche. The album features arrangements of Bulgarian folk songs by some of the country’s finest composers, including three by our own founder and conductor, Boryana Velichkova.
The title track is a spine-chilling modernist interpretation by Ivan Spassov of a folk song from the Rhodope mountains, in which a suitor asks Aisha to be generous with her wine and rakia, only to be reminded that sometimes, drinking too much can lead to trouble…

Tickets can be purchased at the church entry on the event day. -> 15€ (normal) / 10€ (reduced for students, pensioners and children under 12) /Children until the age of 6 are free of charge.
