After hearing us at a concert Jennifer Bechtold fell immediately in love with the Bulgarian traditional folk music and wanted to be part of it. A challenging and fun task for her is to learn the Bulgarian lyrics of the songs and to pronounce the words correctly. A memorable one is when she had to announce ‘Prituri se planinata’ at a concert and struggled with the right pronunciation. Her favorite word in Bulgarian is ‘libe’, because “it sounds very sweet, warm and tender”, she says and the sound of it fits perfectly with the meaning ‘sweetheart’. Besides singing, Jenny has a passion for handcrafting, such as embroidery, felting and sewing. She loves to take care of her plants at home, especially succulents and cactuses.
